About college recommendations

If you are in the Class of 2011 and want me to write one of your college recommendations, see this information page on recommendations. The first step is to complete a brief survey (linked from that page, if you didn't get it in class on June 21) and mail it to me by June 30. Next, bookmark that page and return to it in September for instructions about what you'll need to do in the fall. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me over the summer.

Project due Fri. 6/11

Non-graduating students are spending early June working on investigations from the Contemporary Calculus textbook. During class on 5/28 we formed groups to work on three investigations:

• 8.1 "The Battle of Trafalgar" (MD, KG, AZ, CZ)
  
• 8.5 "Predicting the Spread of an Infectious Disease" (SB, EL, WQ, JC)
  
• 8.8 "Sound, Music, and Fourier Series" (LS, CU, EW)
  

These projects are your classwork and homework for Wed. 6/2 through Thu. 6/10. Projects are due on Fri. 6/11, and will be presented to the class on Fri. 6/11 and Mon. 6/14.
